The new trimaximal ansatz, as just noted, leads to the prediction
$\theta_{13} = 0.083$, with $\sin^{2} 2 \theta_{13} = 0.03$,
using the Koide masses. Given this prediction, we observe that the Koide $\nu$ triplet obeys the approximate relations
$m_3 \simeq 4 \sqrt{2} m_2$
$m_2 \simeq 24 m_1$
