Varying Rest Mass

We have at various times discussed the mass differences between standard Koide triplets and mirror ones. Some suggest uncertain masses, and the latest MINOS results for the antineutrino masses certainly show a large uncertainty. But rest mass is of course a quantum number. We can say that the antineutrino beam contains both ordinary $\overline{\nu}$ mass states and mirror ones. Can we use this simple double state hypothesis to fit the MINOS results? Those damned reconstructed energy curves never seem to go through the data points!
The varying mass hypothesis would extrapolate the neutrino triplet straight through the charged lepton triplet on its way to the mirror phase.

  1. As far as I can tell, MINOS still haven't published this result. Sigh. I guess they are busy now worrying about superluminal neutrinos.
