Commenter number 26 at Phil's blog has noted that M theory can produce the formula

$\frac{v - c}{c} = e^{- \textrm{log}^{2} (26)} = 2.45 \times 10^{-5}$

or more accurately,

$\frac{v - c}{c} = 3 e^{- \sqrt{1/ \alpha}} = 2.48 \times 10^{-5}$

for tachyonic neutrinos. I wonder what version of M theory that would be.
