LHC News

Faced with the ongoing destruction of stringy physics at the LHC and the Tevatron, Mottle has been forced to invent a new term: crackpot-slash-genius. Previously, as we all know, all non stringers were easily classified as crackpots, but now it seems that only professional loopies are crackpots (not stringers?) because a few known amateur crackpots are in fact crackpot-slash-geniuses. An example mentioned by Mottle is Jay R. Yablon, who predicted a bump at $2.35$ TeV. Meanwhile, Mottle has also become a MOND theorist, with a refreshing post that makes it look like he invented the whole thing himself.

  1. Stating the obvious, today's cracked pot is tomorrow's genius. Perhaps we are seeing the transition. Strings and "dark energy" will someday be laughed at, but they may be around long enough to ruin Physics. We will continually be amused by someone's posts from the Czech Republic. Thanks again and Aloha!

  2. Kia ora, Louise, but the future is far from certain. People do not laugh at what they are encouraged to forget or ignore.
