Atmospheric Neutrino Summary

In summary, when observing atmospheric neutrinos we should consider mixed decay sequences, as in:

  1. Superscript m for mirror! Great. Good notation can be half the battle. :-)

  2. Lol, yeah, but while I'm just talking to myself year after year, I am quite liable to change it every week.

  3. So, the center of the problem lies in the asymetry between W+ and W-. The W as composite?

  4. I am wondering about the W and Z bosons, yes. For instance, a pion decay drawn as a $B_6$ six strand diagram might utilize a $6$ strand W boson: three positive twists like for the usual Bilson-Thompson diagram, plus three flat ribbons. This boson must exchange a $(0,+)$ pair in order to turn the two quarks into a muon and neutrino.
