Go Iceland

Congratulations Iceland! Once again, Iceland leads the world table in gender equality. New Zealand remains in fifth position, always behind the Nordic countries but well ahead of Australia.

  1. Finland must have taken a step forward when both the president and the prime minister are women.

From there to everyday life is a big step. I can bet the toilet is one of the most unequal places on Earth. Men spoil it, women toil it :) How change that?

  2. Yes, parliamentary participation is one of the factors considered. In many of the high scoring countries, women are now more highly educated than men, but we are still all way behind on employment opportunities.
